Banyan Tree is planing to open a new resort in July 2010 on the south eastern coast of the Koh Samui island on Lamai Bay, entitled Banyan Tree Samui.
This will mark the third destination for Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts in Thailand since its last time flagship resort, Banyan Tree Phuket, opened in 1994. The new hotel is located in the most picturesque bay, surrounded on all sides by cliffs and thick jungle to create a unique atmosphere of seclusion and tranquility.
Banyan Tree Samui will offer to its guests 78 Deluxe villas with a private pool and Sanctuary villas in the traditional Thai style architecture, with incredible views over the ocean from its hilltop vantage point.
The resort will feature on Koh Samui’s first hydrotherapy wellness facility, The Rainforest, which will serve up hydrothermal treatments designed to revitalize, as well as two restaurants, Saffron – a beach grill serving up fresh ocean catches – and Sands restaurant, a beachfront dining experience.
The price of introductory offer starts at THB18,200+ (approximately US$500+) per night, inclusive daily breakfast for two in a Deluxe Pool Villa and is valid for reservation from 1 May to 30 September 2010, and stays from 1 July to 30 September 2010.
