Those who deride polyester don't realize what a boon it was in the 1960s and 1970s for hard-working women and even men. Easy to care for and almost impossible to wrinkle, it meant time saving on laundering and ironing.
Polyester also allowed for fabrics that sported vibrant prints and yet were reasonably priced. Although it does not breathe, it allowed for loose and inexpensive clothing that looked great when spinning on the dance floor. Part of what was so exciting about 1970s disco fashion for women was that there was so much that was acceptable – which is to say, pretty much anything – and so much from which to choose.
Dresses with a 1940s sensibility were popular, although they tended to have looser bodices and a more empire waistline. Miniskirts, especially of the flared variety, were very popular, as were the ultra-daring skin-tight and abbreviated hot pants. But while women could legally show as much leg as they can, they were also free to cover as much as they like and still takes on comfortable and adds flair. In the 1950s and 1960s, a teenager might be able to get away with going to a dance in Capri pants or jeans, and some Beatnik women did so as well (in the movie Funny Face, Audrey Hepburn does a sexy dance in black Capris), but most women felt obliged to wear a skirt for dancing.
Not so in a 1970s disco, when a maxi, wide-legged jumpsuit could be worn to great acclaim. Maxi dresses were also seen whirling under the disco balls. Women who went dancing regularly had a great time exploring wildly different looks on different nights.
Because disco was so widely derided after it passed, the fashions that had characterized it went for virtually pennies in thrift stores, if they were even resold at all. Increasingly, however, both the music and the clothes have seen a resurgence of interest. Whatever polyester's drawbacks, it does hold up well so many of the original 1970s disco fashions for women, despite having been worn and danced in many times, can be found in remarkably good condition.
Hot pants are still desirable club wear and a lot of women gravitate towards these vintage hot pants as a way of being sexy and funky at the same time. A deceptively simple disco dress, knee-length with a flowing skirt, sash and sleeve detail, can be at once flirty and sexy. So disco clothes are becoming desirable once again. For the best luck and quality, as well as ease of hunting, it's best to look for original disco fashions in vintage shops, where they usually divide the stock by era.
Things like the knee-length or mini-dresses and hot pants can be very precious and thus expensive, whereas jump suits don't tend to create the same excitement. However, if you want to have a quirky vintage look, you might give a jump suit a try. If you're tall, they can make you look striking and if you're not tall, they make you look taller. That's especially true if you're wearing the requisite platform shoes or boots. The whole outfit makes a statement.
Working with polyester is difficult, but finding patterns for disco wear is easy. What you need to do is get out the sewing machine and go to town.

Nowadays, the designers have also been tired of such a starting design point. The art attack has realized recovery probably due to positive attitude upon economic recovery. Marc Jacobs is such a representative micawberism who is far away from cruel reality. The inspiration of the spring and summer series came from the ballet opera, while the models are dressed like Japanese gaishas with red lips and white ceramic faces.

Eating Apples Can Help Acnes
The best apples have several nutrients that make them perfect skin food. An apple is watery and balanced hydration is an important part of maintaining good skin. Apples are also full of fiber, which helps maintain good digestion – a crucial aspect of healthy skin.
Add vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, phosphorous and potassium and you have a very compact and delicious food that promotes good health and appearance. In some instances, acne is caused by an internal disorder of some sort.
Yes, touching your face with your hands will promote bacteria, as will the use of certain cosmetics or unhealthful hygiene practices. Allergies, stress and hormonal imbalances can also create acne. However, both ancient and modern medicines agree that much of what causes acne starts on the inside.
Thus, a healthful, balanced diet for healthy skin with an emphasis on whole foods goes a long ways towards keeping zits at bay. The apple, a naturally cleansing fruit, is widely considered a crucial ingredient for good internal and external health.
As healthful as apples are, if upping your apple intake were enough to kill acne, dermatologists would be out of business. No food is a cure-all or acne treatment on its own, and going on an all-apple diet is a recipe for indigestion.
Nor do apples help everyone. Some people find the skin difficult to digest, which can actually create intestinal problems that then promote acne. Whether with the whole apple, freshly pressed juice or apple cider vinegar, it's wisest to incorporate apples into your diet as part of a healthful approach to eating, rather than as an expectation that you can then avoid acne for good. While you don't get the fiber, drinking the pure juice of an apple can still be of use in promoting good skin, thanks to its nutritional content.
Likewise, there is much talk of organic apple cider vinegar being useful both as a topical astringent and part of a diet. Much is unproven, but it's possible it can be helpful. If included as part of an overall healthful, balanced diet, eating apples can help acne if the acne is due to digestive problems and lack of certain nutrients. Just don't expect them to be miracle workers!

Ageless Yoga
Nowadays, the Yoga participants range from 20 to over 80. The benefits that people can experience if they follow an appropriate, injury-free program can be extensive.
I have seen people experience reduction in symptoms of many conditions, including arthritis and MS. One man with symptoms of Parkinson’s who has been practicing with one of the Ageless Yoga DVDs for about a year and finds that he can walk better during the day if he does a short session in the morning.
People also experience improvement in posture, breathing, strength, flexibility, resilience to stress, and a host of other beneficial effects. For some people, just maintaining the quality of life they are experiencing can be a great benefit–or slowing down some degenerative processes.
Along with a belief in the adaptability of yoga, as far as I can tell, my personality has an innate, strong desire to be inclusive and a certain empathy for people who experience disabilities and challenges. My own challenges, limitations, and injuries have helped support that empathy and inclusiveness.
Hatha yoga, which I think of as any form of yoga that utilizes the body as an instrument of personal integration, allowed me to get in touch with my body and learn how to listen to it as I worked with it. I found that a gentle, flowing style of yoga gradually helped my body and also, of course, my psyche to find new ways of being and discover new avenues to create health in body, mind, and spirit.
Hatha yoga was a wonderful complement to the spiritual practices that I had been exploring. If everything in my life hadn’t fallen apart so completely, I doubt that I ever would have been able to make the changes in my attitude and approach toward transforming my body and inner life that I’ve been able to make.

Hairstyles for Thick Hair
Thick Waves

There are many beautiful hairstyles for thick hair, whatever color or length your hair wears. Thick hair can be challenging to manage, but for the greatest variety of styles be sure your hair is healthy and in well condition, then find the adequate look that fits your face shape and styling preferences. A classic look like loose, tousled waves is always stunning, but there are many more styles to choose from
Curly Updo

Thick hair can easily be coiffed into a stunning updo without extensions or fillers to create height and volume. A swooped bang helps soften the look, as do some loose curly tendrils that frame the face or dangle from the back.
Short and Sassy

A popular short hairstyle for thick hair takes advantage of the hair’s thickness to give the style shape and definition. A side part keeps this look from being too predictable, and the back of the hair can be curly or shaved depending on what you prefer.
Thick Ponytails

A ponytail is a great look for thick hair because it shows off the hair’s richness and shine. This is particularly glamorous for straight and long hair, and it is an easy style that can be worn daily. Be sure to use soft ponytail holders and prevent hair breakage.
Dramatic Color

Add texture and richness to your thick hair with hair lowlights shades in deep hues. Dark hair can easily enjoy rich red highlights or lowlights, while lighter hair colors can opt for golden or sun-kissed shades.
Soft Spikes

A soft, spiky hair style is a great alternative look for thick hair. Use a hair mousse and gently massage through your hair to hold the style, or for an edgier look sculpt thicker, more prominent spikes with hair gel. To soften the look, allow the ends of the hair to stay limp or add a twist of curl to them.
Twisted Tendrils

Long, curly hair is a perfect look for thick locks. If your hair isn’t naturally curly, a spiral perm can achieve the same look, but don’t try this style with medium length hair or you may end up with too much volume. The longer the hair, the more controlled the tendrils will be.
Choppy Styles

Choppy hair styles are a popular way to manage thick hair. Choppy layers can remove some of the hair’s thickness and easier to control. For a modern, edgy look, razor the ends of your hair for a more ragged, rough look and consider a burst of peek-a-boo highlights in wild colors such as pink, purple, or teal
Medium Curly Hair

Thick hair can look great in a medium style because it has more bounce and volume than thinner one. Moderate waves or end curls will make you more stylish and funny.
Bangs

Hairstyles with bangs are popular for thick hair as they can help remove some of the hair’s volume while framing the face and softening the forehead. An offset, sideswoop bang with a small flip is a cute, fun look, or you can go for a wispy, longer bang as part of an emo hair style, or blunt bang to accentuate a bob hair cut
Micro Braids

Micro braids are a perfect way to be useed on thick hair. By using micros you can have a lot of delicate bangs, but as the hair is thick you will have enough braids to experiment putting them into styles such as a ponytail, bun, half updo, or twist.
Tapered Hair

Tapered hairstyles for thick hair help tame volume ,meanwhile, keeping the hair’s natural beauty. This is a great look for most face shapes, particularly if the ends of the hair fall below the jaw line to effectively frame the face. A side part helps add distinction to the look.
Modern Bob

A bob hair style is great for short, thick hair. The hair’s volume makes a vivid style, but because it is short it can be easily handled. A side part is often preferred so the style does not look dated, and tapering the ends toward the chin helps add roundness to long face shapes such as ovals or rectangles.
Crimped Hair

Crimping is a fun vintage look for thick hair that shows off volume in a soft, simple way. This is the perfect look if you want some texture in your hair but aren’t interested in waves or curls.
Inverted Bob Hair

An inverted bob style is great for thick hair because the hair’s natural volume will accentuate the asymmetrical style, particularly in the back where the hair is shortest. For the most flair, opt for sharply tapered ends to this modern look.
